DalSAFE is made up of people with diverse experience and a shared commitment to campus safety and community support. While many of our staff work rotating shifts or behind the scenes, the team below provides leadership, coordination, and continuity across DalSAFE鈥檚 work.
Leadership

| The Director provides overall leadership and strategic direction for DalSAFE. This role focuses on setting priorities, supporting staff development, and ensuring DalSAFE鈥檚 approach aligns with the university鈥檚 values, risk framework, and commitment to community safety. The Director also supports collaboration across campus partners and guides the long鈥憈erm evolution of DalSAFE鈥檚 work. | The Assistant Director oversees day鈥憈o鈥慸ay operations and supports the translation of strategy into practice. This role works closely with managers and campus partners to ensure DalSAFE鈥檚 services are consistent, responsive, and well coordinated. The Assistant Director plays a key role in balancing operational needs with people鈥慶entred decision鈥憁aking. |

Operations and Management

| The Operations Manager, Administrative focuses on staffing coordination, scheduling, training support, and administrative systems. This role helps ensure DalSAFE鈥檚 internal processes run smoothly and that staff have the structure and resources needed to do their work effectively. The position also supports continuity and organizational stability across the service. | The Operations Manager, Patrol oversees patrol operations across campuses and shifts. This role supports frontline staff through coaching, consistency in practice, and operational oversight. The position brings a strong understanding of frontline response while helping ensure patrol work aligns with DalSAFE鈥檚 broader safety and community support approach. |

Community and Residence Safety

| Community Safety Managers work directly with Residence Life while supporting DalSAFE鈥檚 broader safety efforts. This role focuses on collaboration, early support, and the use of restorative practices to address concerns, reduce escalation in residence settings, and emphasize accountability, learning, and relationship鈥慴uilding. Community Safety Managers also support coordination between student leaders, residence staff, and other campus partners. |

Patrol Leadership

| Patrol Managers provide frontline leadership and oversight for DalSAFE patrol staff. This role supports daily operations, responds to incidents, and helps guide decision鈥憁aking during active situations. Patrol Managers also play an important role in mentoring staff, reinforcing expectations, and supporting safe, professional responses across shifts. |

Administrative Support

| Administrative Support is often the first smiling face you see when you visit our office. This role provides essential coordination and support for DalSAFE鈥檚 operations. This role assists with communication, scheduling, documentation, and day鈥憈o鈥慸ay administrative needs, helping ensure the service runs smoothly and remains accessible. By supporting staff, systems, and processes behind the scenes, this role plays an important part in maintaining continuity, organization, and effective service delivery. |
