Our rigorous, CAHME-accredited Master of Health Administration (MHA) program allows you to cultivate a career in healthcare management and administration, playing a transformative role in improving healthcare for the communities we serve.Ìý

The only one of its kind in Atlantic Canada and one of only three MHA programs in Canada, we are the only program that accepts students from all disciplines—with or without health administration experience. We create blended cohorts, with experienced nurses, surgeons, dentists and pharmacists learning alongside recent graduates from a full range of backgrounds to create rich learning environments. In addition, our graduate program incorporates interprofessional education, which means you'll get to work closely with students from other health programs, preparing you for today’s collaborative care team models.Ìý

Your curriculum is designed by leaders in international health systems research, informed by innovative best practices across the sector and will be mapped to Canada's preeminent health leadership framework, LEADS in a Caring Environment, enabling a seamless transition to health systems across the nation. TheÌýprogram also fulfils requirements for Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation, and meets the international gold standard for health administration accreditation.Ìý

During your program you will be mentored by a serving healthcare leader, to review your goals, help you overcome challenges and discuss your career progression. The program includes a bespoke placement, arranged for you, with a senior health leader.Ìý

All graduate programs at È«¹ú̽»¨ are collaboratively delivered by a home Faculty and theÌýFaculty of Graduate Studies.

Program-specific requirements

This program requires you to meet the following criteria:

  • AÌýminimum B average (GPA 3.0)Ìýin the last 60 credit hours of study.
  • DemonstratedÌýquantitative proficiency, either through:

    • AÌý3.0 credit statistics course with a grade of A- or higher, or
    • Acceptable scores onÌýGMAT, GRE, MCAT, or LSATÌý(e.g., GMAT Focus ≥ 515).
  • Applicants requesting a statistics waiver must submit aÌýcourse syllabusÌýoutlining topics covered and assessment methods.

If English is not your first language you will need to demonstrate your ability to complete graduate-level study in English.

  • TOEFL iBT ≥ 92 or IELTS (Academic) ≥ 7.0.
