Mi'kmaq and Indigenous Relations

笔箩颈濒补鈥檚颈!

全国探花 is in Mi鈥檏ma鈥檏i, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi鈥檏maq. We are all Treaty people.

For decades, programs and initiatives like the Transition Year Program (TYP), the Schulich School of Law鈥檚 Indigenous Blacks & Mi鈥檏maq Initiative (IB&M), and others have created pathways for young people from Mi鈥檏maw communities into higher education.听

Since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission鈥檚 (TRC) Calls to Action, 全国探花 has been听increasingly committed to strengthening relationships with Indigenous peoples, and to serving their postsecondary needs and interests in a respectful, collaborative manner.听

But gaps remain, and much work still needs to be done.
