Queer Faculty Staff Caucus

QFSC logoThe QFSC seeks to build a university community where people of all sexual orientations and gender identities feel heard, affirmed, valued, and respected. We do this partly by promoting awareness of and education around 2SLGBTQIA+ identities and communities; engaging in social justice activities that improve the working and learning environments for queer faculty and staff; and providing support and social opportunities for 2SLGBTQIA+ staff, faculty, and the broader communities.

The Queering Committee

The Queering Committee is a collective of 2SLGBTQIA+ faculty and staff that guides the work of the Queer Faculty and Staff Caucus (QFSC). Operating with a non-hierarchical approach, the committee prioritizes collaboration, mutual support, and community care rather than traditional top-down leadership.

Together, they shape the QFSC鈥檚 direction by organizing advocacy efforts, campus events, and spaces for connection and solidarity. Grounded in queer values like creativity, care, and resistance to the status quo, the Queering Committee works to transform university culture and ensure that queer and trans voices are heard, valued, and uplifted.
