È«¹ú̽»¨â€™s new marine biodiversity centre opens to the public this December, offering guests a chance to explore the ocean through immersive exhibits, Indigenous storytelling, and Michael’s Whale — a breathtaking blue whale skeleton.

The gift from Leslie McLean (MN’02) and Scott McCain to the Oulton-Stanish Centre will ensure that the È«¹ú̽»¨ Physiotherapy Clinic can provide expanded care to members of the È«¹ú̽»¨ and broader community.

Suspended from the ceiling of the Steele Ocean Sciences Building is the skeleton of an adult blue whale found washed up in Nova Scotia, representing the centrepiece of the Beaty Centre for Marine Biodiversity and a powerful reminder of the need to protect our ocean and its inhabitants.
