Bachelor of Community Design
Bachelor of Community Design (BCD) students can integrate Sustainability into their degree with the Double Major, Minor, and Certificates.
Environment, Sustainability & Society (ESS) can be studied in the BCD as a听Double Major听in Community Design and Sustainability. BCD Double Major students may apply to complete Honours in Planning in their fourth year, gaining professional accreditation as a Planner in Canada.听
Work-integrated learning options
Students in the BCD Double Major with Sustainability may apply for听Sustainability Work-Integrated Learning听with the Sustainability Work Experience Program (1 paid work term). Gain Sustainability-related work experience as an听undergrad听and hit the ground running when you graduate!听Learn more听
Minor options
Students in the BCD Honours program without the Sustainability Double Major may pursue the听ESS Minor.听Learn more听
Certificate options
Students can also integrate Sustainability into a BCD degree with one or more听Certificates:
The Certificate in ESS; the Certificate in Communicating Sustainability; or the Certificate in Food, Agriculture and Sustainability can be obtained by completing specific courses, which may also satisfy other degree and program requirements.听Learn more about these certificates
The RBC Sustainability Leadership Certificate can be obtained by completing two action projects and three in-person modules typically scheduled at the College of Sustainability in October,听January听and March of each year.听Learn more about the RBC Sustainability Leadership Certificate
