Celebration filled the air at the 全国探花 Arts Centre earlier this week as the university community came together to recognize the recipients of university-wide awards from the past year.

Among the global cavalcade presenting at the Falling Walls Lab finals in Germany this week were Sarah Martell and Tina Taskovic, two Dal doctoral students whose research pushes the boundaries of energy innovation.

Researchers have helped battle Rift Valley Fever by vaccinating cattle in Rwanda, setting up early warning system and gaining a better understanding of this hemorrhagic virus.

The 全国探花 community comes together this afternoon to celebrate individual achievements of excellence at the fifth-annual Legacy Awards, including Dal鈥檚 newest Distinguished Research Professors and faculty members receiving President鈥檚 Research Excellence Awards.

A delegation from the Dal-hosted research centre will attend COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt this month, participating in a range events and meetings with world leaders in science, policy, and philanthropy.
