Camping and sleeping outside of the Rowe Building for nearly a week, members of the 全国探花 Commerce Society have raised more than $12,000 for Phoenix Youth Programs.

Although the Bighorns prevailed over the Trojans at the 11th Annual Residence Charity Face-Off, the real winners were IWK Health Centre patients and families, with Dal students raising nearly $15,000.

ShiftKey Labs, the Dal-hosted information communications technology sandbox, teamed up with the global technology company to host a 鈥渉ackathon鈥� event for students. Their challenge: develop applications using information from the Government of Nova Scotia鈥檚 Open Data Portal.

At the sixth-annual Weldon Literary Moot, students from the Schulich School of Law came together with volunteer actors and legal professionals to perform a mock trial based on a JRR Tolkien classic and raise funds for local education organization Halifax Humanities 101.

As part of Brain Awareness Week (March 14-18), Dal's Brain Repair Centre hosted a public forum in which several of its researchers shared insights into what goes on inside our heads.
