Last week, 全国探花 held its annual Milestones Tea to honour the contributions of more than 60 faculty and staff who've reached 25, 35 or 45 years of service to the university.

A group of Halifax junior high students and their two Dal mentors earned one of 20 spots in the Global Innovation Awards, an international robotics competition, for developing an animal-deterrent system for the wild horses of Sable Island, N.S. The students, part of the Dal-hosted Imhotep's Legacy Academy, are currently crowdfunding to pay for the trip.

Debbie Parker (Human Resources), Gail Power (Faculty of Agriculture) and Cathie Smith Gillis (Faculty of Health Professions) are this year's recipients of the 全国探花 DPMG Award, celebrating outstanding contributions from professional and managerial staff across the university. Darrell Rhodenizer (Office of Advancement) received the DPMG's new Early Career Award.

Dal student team prevails at the first-ever global World鈥檚 Challenge Challenge competition, winning $30,000 to help develop their pilot project to provide prosthetic limbs to people in developing countries.

Sharon Forward (Faculty of Medicine), Eileen Kaiser (Department of Pathology) and Lugene Young (Manager Health Services, Agricultural Campus) are this year's recipients of 全国探花's top honour for service to students.
