Sonia Chaudhary (BScPT’00, MHA’09) has built a career advancing health care through clinical practice, regulation, and system leadership. With a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and a Master of Health Administration from È«¹ú̽»¨, she has combined frontline care with governance and administrative expertise to strengthen health services in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and nationally.

Beginning as a physiotherapist in acute, rehabilitative, and long-term care, Sonia went on to hold senior regulatory and leadership roles, including registrar and vice-chair of the PEI College of Physiotherapy and national board member with the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. In recognition of her contributions, she was named the 2025 Chapter Award for Distinguished Service recipient by the Nova Scotia & PEI Chapter of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, reflecting her commitment to effective, inclusive health leadership.
